  NATIONAL DAY PRESENTATION

The National Day Presentation is a special part of the programme. Each country will have approximately 30 minutes to make an official presentation to the rest of the Ship about their country. The Japanese national presentation may be longer.

Each contingent introduces their country from various perspectives with the aid of videos, slides, leaflets, exhibitions, and so on.

It consists of "Exhibition" and "Cultural Show".  The ideas is to present an honest, accurate snapshot of your country. 

There will be limited preparation time before the actual presentation so each contingent are advised to keep it relatively simple, clear and brief. 


 

What can be done?

  • Song, dance, videos, acting, demonstrations, music etc.. the national presentation is only limited by your creativity and imagination.
  • What are some of the aspects-of your country you might think about including
    • History
    • Culture
    • Song and dance
    • Sport and Traditional Games
    • Politics and government
    • Multiculturalism
    • Flora and fauna
    • Daily Life
  • Important things to remember
    • The presentation is best if it is entertaining
    • It should cover the essence of your country
    • The presentation will be made in Dolphin Hall so please refer to the facilities available
    • There may be restrictions on what items can be use so please check with administration.
  • Process.....
    • What images of your country should portrayed?
    • How can these images best be portrayed/
    • What props, costumes or equipment will be needed?
    • How will it be put together?
    • If possible you should start preparing your National Presentation prior to the official programme commencing.

    n/b:

    • No food and drinks during the exhibition
