Harry & Pika's Wedding - Tuesday 2/15/00

Memorial Breakfast All were exhausted and not too anxious to get up, but everyone had to get ready to leave. Hearts were heavy with the knowledge that they would have to go home and leave their new friends. Many made agreements to come visit soon or to go home with a friend before going home to their slave.

Everyone filed somberly into the dinning room for breakfast. Each table was set with bunches of parsely, carrot and cilantro. Once all were seated, John Henry led the group in a prayer and asked for pigs to remember those who have gone before. In their memory they would eat this breakfast of veggie favorites.

Arthur, Gwen and Mo stood to take the first helping of veggies and said, "This is for our wonderful companions Tomathy, Charlie, Lucy, Ethel and Speedy who wait for us on the other side of the Bridge."

Peanut stood to remember Penelope, Cinnamon, Snowball and Cherrio. The Buck House Crew stood to remember their recently departed Hoody and the others who had gone before, Pubpsy, Brock, Heinz, Rex, Stripe and Tudor.

Sonic, Grendel, Cinnamon, Lilith, Lyra, Pika, Harry, Martin and Bleys stood to remember the sweet hairdresser pig Nebula. Kay's girls took their place in Piglet, Peanut and Jazzy's memories.

Madeline, Fozzie and Lilah stood to remember all the rescue pigs who didn't quite make it and their friends Daphne, Buster, Reeses, Skunk, Mollie and the bunnies Oreo, Amy, Snickers and Cream.

The Chompers stood for their recently departed and soon all were standing remembering their loved ones. All especially remembered Piglet, founder of the Poo Trail, and Axel and Walter's "Pig Power". All were in tears with their loss, but grateful to have had the chance to love and be loved by such wonderful creatures. Soon stories of happy memories and wild escapades were flowing across the tables as the group dug into breakfast.
Lunch and Departures - by Robyn As the happy couples gathered with their friends and well-wishers for the last time, there was some sadness. Sadness due to the fact that this was going to be the last time they were all going to see eaach other for a while. Sure, there were going to be some pigs who were going to go to another's house before returning to their own slaves'. Then there was always news about Elvis and Tatortot's upcoming wedding.

There was another buffet-style lunch being served as there were so many things to choose from to eat. And while they ate, Calliope entertained them with some of her magic. When everyone was done, Alan announced to everypig that he was at first going to take Mowgli around the world for a honymoon, but his slaves decided it would take too long so he was going to take her to a deserted island in Hawaii. Harry said something about seclusion for Pika and himself, but I'm not sure.

Mowgli and Alan, Pika and Harry, Tators and Elvis, Beignet and Lucius as well as other couples were seen walking around the Park enjoying the scenery before taking off to their destinations. There were horse-drawn crarriages for the married ones to take them to the airport. Buses were loaded up as pigs started to say goodbye and checked their tickets or made arrangements to get new ones to another destination. A cheer went up as Mowgli, Alan, Pika and Harry showed up to get on their planes. There was a little bit of excitement as Mowgli tried to check a bag as a carry-on. It was a little too big at first, and the attendant said that it would have to be put with the other luggage. But after she assured him it was nothing but hay and pellets and that they had a long way to go, the attendant said okay.

The last I heard was the weather was going to be good and everypig made it to their flights okay. I was told to tell the slaves that your pigs should be back no later than Sunday.
