Harry & Pika's Wedding - Saturday 2/12/00

Arrivals & Dinner I got a call from Martin letting me know how things are going so far. It looks like everyone got in safely, enjoyed dinner and are preparing for the night's festivities.

My kids set out early this morning to pick up the local pigs who were travelling with them. They headed up to Baltimore and picked up Flower, Dervish and Boo. Then stopped to get Rupert, Sam, Oberon and Yoko. They then headed into DC to get John Henry and to check in on his slaves and new baby brother. Then off to get Madeline, Fozzie Bear and Lilah Pig and out Rt 66 to the hotel.

They got there around noon and started preparing for the rest of the arrivals. Soon after they arrived, Sonic showed up dragging Grendel, Cinnamon, Lyra, Lilith, Europa and the rest of the New England pigs with her. Apparently ally she could talk about for the past few days (or wheeks if you ask Europa) was getting to see Martin again. She woke everyone up EARLY to make sure they would get to the hotel at noon.

Soon other pigs started coming in. Fluffy, Snowflake and Brownie were a bit apprehensive -- this being their first virtual event, but KB quickly came to their side to reassure them (and to start putting the moves on them). Patches and Brodie quickly came to rescue the girls from KB, the notorious flirt.

Alan, Lucius, Gizmo, Mike, Mowgli, Reeses, Pepper, Indy, Tatortot, Scooter, Venus & Zues all arrived together. They were laughing and carrying on to the point that some of the babies got scared and ran up to their rooms. When Pooh and Elvis arrived, all were anxious to see how Pooh is doing. She said that she is feeling much better and is glad that Dr. Chris said she didn't have to go on the medicine yet. Elvis was torn between watching after Pooh and chasing all the pretty girls!

At the airport, Braveheart's plane arrived with Arthur, Gwen, Mo, Sammy and others from their way. They were met there by the Chompers and the Buck House Crew who came with the others from England. They collected up the rest who flew in and all rode to the hotel in a strech limo - Braveheart's treat.

With much ado and lots of excitement, all pigs and chaperones checked into their rooms and assembled for dinner. Dinner was held in the main diningroom and offered a variety of fresh greens, pellet mousse, carrot cocktails and dried fruit for dessert. The dogs and cats had their choice of the liver frappe with rice or chicken d'van and cake for dessert.

El Puerco quickly sought out Lyra, Grendel caught up with Frijoles. Europa and Scooter Bun started the group in a waltz. Alan and Mowgli were seen kissing on the lawn. Lucius and Beignet decided to exchange their Valentine's early. Indy and Venus joined togther to keep the "love birds" in order and found Gizmo and Cocoa sneaking off with Pooh and Harvey for a dip in the Jaccuzi. Elvis and Tatortot were on their heels for a dip too. PJ and Snickers decided to stay in the diningroom with the others and were soon in a deep conversation about their costumes with Peanut & Nicholas and Austen and Hekate.

Michael and Reeses made eyes over dessert while Stinky renewed his committment to be a good step-father to Sable's babies. Arthur and Harley snuck off to show Harry and John Henry what they had brought for the bachelor party. Gwen and Mo began rounding up the girls for the Bachelorette party. Sandra's Taffy, BJ's Teddy, Lil Bit, Peewee, Bandit, Honeybunch, Baby Shreik-a-Dee, Piggywillow, Mille, and Lilah Pig were ready to party and were arguing over who would catch the bouquet. Martin said he thought he heard them making a bet about which one of them would find a boyfriend first this wheekend. Martin told Paddy, Oreo and Ronnie to keep an eye on those girls to be sure they kept out of trouble.

Taffy & Sundae engaged Beignet, Cosmo, Rocket, PJ, Peanut, Chrissie, Wheeker, Blossom and D'artagnan in a game of Pokemon as dinner ended and preparations for the partying began. Bodie and Doyle, the Buck House Crew Ratrobatic Babysitters volunteered to stay with the youngsters while the rest enjoyed the evening. Maggie, Rosie, Sammy, Star Kitty, Braveheart and Justine were given instructions on where everyone was sleeping and when lights out was so they could help everyone get to bed by 3am.

As Martin said good-bye I thought I heard somepig yelling "Pig Power! May the drinking begin!" Martin assured me that it was a joke and that all the boys had promised to behave at the party. I'm not sure I believe him, but I trust the chaparones won't let things get too out of hand.
The Bachelor Party Martin reported in to me again to let me know how the party went. I was a bit upset since I was woken up at 3am with a phonecall from a rather enebriated Alan raving about how much he loves Mowgli and how happy he is to share in the event..."I love you man"..."& where's the munchies". I guess everyone had a good time last night. I was a bit worried, but I trust Martin to keep things from getting too rowdy.

Martin said that they took over the common area in one of the cottages for a "Boys Night of Poker". He had taken cards and munchies to share hoping to keep things a bit calm. Unfortuately, that isn't what the Bad Boy Crew had in mind. Arthur and Harley brought a stash of corn whiskey, Harry brought a massive set of Pokemon cards, John Henry brought Oxbow Alfalfa Nibbles (Piggy Marajuana- from the reactions I get) and BJ's Elvis brought cigars.

Things started out pretty calm. Martin grabbed EB White, Rocket, BJ's Teddy, Skittles, Austen, Taffy, Michael and Nicholas and started a game of 5 card draw. Harry pulled out the Pokemon and roped Harvey, Stinky, Arthur, Forrest, Rowdy, D'artagnan, Whitey, Q, and Tac into a wild game of trading and competition.

Harley had other ideas about what a Bachelor party should be. He had recruited Grendel to come belly dance for the boys. Laurie's Boo, his brother Bleys, Charlie, Wysi, Palin, Rupert and Sam decided to all dance with Grendel. They started getting the hang of the moves when Arthur pulled out the corn whiskey (apparently he is the one I heard in the background yesterday.) All craziness broke loose as the pigs started drinking and dancing. Alan, Gizmo and Lucius grabbed John Henry and Rawhide and started smoking the Alfalfa.

That seemed to mellow everyone out (except Frijoles who kept trying to fight with every boy that danced with Grendel. "She's MY girl you know!!"). Everypig passed the cigars and Alfalfa and discussed the sows and what they were probably doing at their party. Dervish, Oberon and Sashe Bunny said they thought the girls were probably playing with their hair and painting their nails. El Puerco and Jamon wanted to sneak over to the girl's party, but Mike, Scooter Bun and Zeus talked them out of it.

Brook's Elvis, Patches, KB and Brodie started making up a new card game called PiggyMan where all the cards/characters are pigs. Dash said his talent would be the speed poo. Zorro said he would be a Masked Bandit PiggyMan. Cheri's Gizmo said he wanted to be an electric type because his relationship with Cocoa is soo electric.

It was getting pretty late so Paddy, Ronnie, and Indy started cleaning up. Brownie, Chico, Groucho, Harpo and Zeppo began leading the more enebriated pigs to their rooms. Harvey and Stinky grabbed Alan and snuck off for the phones. Martin, Mathieu and Miroslav hearded the stragglers back to their rooms to end the evening.

I hope there were no more escapades after lights out.
The Bachelorette Party - By Robyn From what I have seen, the sows have been all a twitter with the upcoming weddings and some have been excited with the available boars. I had the honor of giving Mowgli and Pika each a small tiara) before the party got under way. Everyone were oooohs and aaahs over them and both brides to be were besisde themselves.

There were plenty of cutting up, snacking, game playing and such. Calliope even had a few special magic tricks for the girls. But the most action that happened was the huge pillow fight that occured before lights out. Feathers flying all over the place. No one is saying who started it, but there was a lot of shriking and noise going on that the chaperones had a time settling the wild bunch down. Things finally got quiet and sleep overcame them. I'm sure some very good dreams were had that night.
