ARTICLE III
MEMBERSHIP

Section 1. ACQUISITION OF MEMBERSHIP

Membership in the organization shall be acquired through two methods:

a. Conferring membership status to delegates who shall attend fora and symposia sponsored and/or organized by KAAKBAY.

b. Recruiting student leaders from the respective student governments of the different high schools and colleges, collegiate fraternities and sororities, campus-based civic and religious organizations, college academic and non-academic organizations, young professionals and young achievers from the Sangguniang Kabataan, community-based youth organizations, etc.

Section 2. TERM OF MEMBERSHIP

Membership in KAAKBAY shall be for life. There shall be two forms of membership, namely:

a. The status of ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP shall be accorded to those above the age of 12 and below the age of 35, provided that he or she is single.

b. The status of PIONEER MEMBERSHIP shall be accorded to individuals who have reached the age of 35 and are still single.

c. The status of PIONEER MEMBERSHIP shall be accorded to individuals who are married and below the age of 35 but have not previously been active members.

d. The status of PIONEER MEMBERSHIP shall also be accorded to those who are married and above the age of 35 but would like to join the organization.

Section 3. AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP

By a simple majority vote of the General Assembly, affiliate membership shall be conferred on organizations that are, in one way or another, representative of the Tri-People or have inherent objectives and programs that are parallel to the Tri-People Youth Agenda. Such organizations and their members shall be given privilege to attend and participate in any and all of the programs and activities of KAAKBAY.

Affiliate members organizations also have the right to not more than three votes of Executive Committee and all KAAKBAY assemblies and meetings wherein which they are entitled to representation.
