ARTICLE II
DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES AND OBJECTIVES

Section 1. PRINCIPLES

KAAKBAY upholds:

a. The advancement of peaceful coexistence and understanding between or among the Tri-People; herein referred to as the Tri-People Youth Agenda;

b. The basic democratic rights and welfare of the Majority, Moro and Lumad all over the Philippines, herein referred to as the "Tri-People"; and

c. The ideals of the Philippine Youth Development Initiative and the Youth Affairs Development Office involving activities that promotes peace.

Section 2. OBJECTIVES

KAAKBAY endeavors:

a. To advance national consciousness and social responsibility that will serve the interests of the Tri-People and the Tri-People Youth Agenda;

b. To promote a culture of peace and extinguish divisiveness and discrimination among the Tri-People through collective effort;

c. To enhance the level of awareness of the individual Filipino of the diversity of his race and the importance of developing unity among all Filipinos through sustainable programs and activities;

d. To promote a culture of peace and extinguish divisiveness and discrimination among the Tri-People through collective effort;

e. To encourage, train and develop the youth for leadership roles that are geared towards the attainment of a culture of peace among the Tri-People;

f. To establish a national "KAAKBAY Federation" composed of city and/or regional "KAAKBAY Organizations"; and

g. To provide for sectoral representation of the Tri-People in local, regional and national levels of government.
