This seminar/training served as the first application of the technical skills, know how and knowledge in peace building and in peace advocacy acquired by KAAKBAY from the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) during the Trainors' Training on the Culture of Peace (TTOCOP) held on September. This activity saw KAAKBAY in the dual role of organizer and facilitator/trainer. This event was co-sponsored by the United Nations Multi-Donor Programme and the General Santos City Local Government through the Youth Affairs Development Office (YADO).

       It was the full intent of KAAKBAY to share the skills and knowledge they had gained from the training through the Tri-People Youth Seminar on the Culture of Peace (TTPYSCOP). The participants of this activity comprised part of the cream of the crop of the youth of General Santos City. Through them, and with KAAKBAY's presence, the campuses and barangays shall be reached within a short span of time.

       One hundred (100) youth leaders and youth achievers from the high school, college, Sangguniang Kabataan, and professional levels who represent the tri-people of this city attended the event. These participants automatically became members of KAAKBAY, as per organizational policy. Twenty (20) of the participants from the previous TTOCOP served as facilitators/trainers in the TTPYSCOP.
