Our Favorite SCUBA Sites:

Herein is a list of our favorite dive sites.  At this point this includes sites on the rugged western coast of British Columbia, and in our home province of Alberta.  Surprisingly, there is a lot of diving in Alberta-  not that you would know it.  Please keep in mind that most of the diving in Alberta is located within the bounds of a national park, and as such all artifacts are protected by law.  Damaging or removing items from these dive sites is illegal, with very hefty fines as punishment.  We have divided our favorite dive sites up by area.  Follow the links for more info.

Alberta Area Dives:

Calgary Area: Calgary boasts a few dive sites, as does our surrounding areas.

Lake Minnewanka: Lake Minnewanka, located just outside the town of Banff, features many dive sites of historical interest.  An entire town lies beneath the waters of this beautiful lake.

Waterton National Park: Nestled in the South-western corner of Alberta, Waterton national park features many interesting dive sites including one of Alberta's only ship wreaks and a waterfall.

Japer National Park: (external link): Many dives are located in Jasper National Park, including the wreak of of top secret Canadian warship from the second world war.  Syber Sizzle has made an excellent page on these dive sites, so we'll just send you there.

Other Locals:

Canadian West Coast: Considered by many, including Rodale's SCUBA Diving Magazine, to be the best place in the world to dive - and we agree.

Other: On occasion we find ourselves diving in new places, they're listed here.1
