Chapter Seven

Josh, Levon and Moses still didn't have all the information they needed. FRAT was still enraged. Josh and his crew were sitting in Josh's apartment one night, and Josh and Levon were almost fully healed. They were discussing how to approach the FRAT team, but it was just too late. As Levon was leaving Josh's apartment, he asked Josh what happened to his car.

"It's not there?"

Moses shook his head. "Well my cell phone's in there. Let me call it," Josh offered. He ran back upstairs.

Somebody dumb enough answered. He knew it was Deeds. Deeds was nervous. There was shouting in the background.

"What did you do with my car?"

Deeds wanted to calm Josh down. He didn't want to do this. He didn't care anymore. "Hi. I have your car, and I'm going to drive it to the commuter lot on Main street, okay? Meet me there." There were men celebrating in the backseat. Justin didn't want to retrieve his car alone, or even just with Moses and Levon. He dialed the emergency number.

Josh spoke under his breath into the telephone. " Hello. My car has been stolen. I know where to get it, but the men who have it are insane."

The officer asked where to go, and they were to meet there.

As Moses pulled into the parking lot, Josh saw three men run from his car. Deeds was the furthest away from the car. He looked at Josh like he wanted to apologize.

Josh stepped out of Moses's car and ran towards the men, but a policeman yelled for Josh to halt.

Bursts of fire then sprung from the Mercedes as Josh was only about thirty five yards from it. His arms flailed and he fell back. God, they just want to get me bad. What the hell is this? Josh thought.

Moses ran to him and picked him up by his shoulders. "Don't take me to a hospital," Josh said. He was beginning to learn the importance of secrecy. Only a few of Josh's older wounds had opened. He didn't look that badly hurt. Moses looked at Josh's weak face. He didn't believe Josh's words, but he told the policemen Josh was okay, and he was going to take him home.
