After 2 years of daily use, sadly the tin worm caught up and the car was taken off the road. This was in december 2000 and at the time of writing (jan 2004) the car is making steady but very slow progress.

The following pictures show the extent of the rot when the wing, carpets, seat railing were removed. I was quite shocked as i had always painted and waxoyled this car before winter times.!

HORRORS!
As can be seen the front and rear scuttles were badily corroded. What i didnt expect was the extent of corrosion around the healboard/floorpan area. At first i though this could be repaired but on closer inpection it really needed a complete floor, heelpanel and healboard to do the job properly. Lots of measurements were taken as i was worried we would never get the suspension lined up again.
