The correspondence assignment was one that is becoming more common in today’s business world.  With E-mail becoming one of the major ways of communication, the assignment is very relevant.  Writing E-mails have become part of daily live for a majority of the world, thus this assignment was a very easy one to do.  Since this was supposed to be professional, I had to be very careful in the way that I worded it.  E-mail for college students tends to be very casual, usually without any capitalization, and with a lot of IM lingo.  With this assignment, I had to make sure that the words and format were professional, as if I was really writing this to the person addressed.  I had to use Microsoft Word to write them E-mails, since I tend to be more professional in Word than in Hotmail.

The first E-mail was very easy to write.  Accepting a job and asking for an orientation was very simple.  I didn’t need to revise anything in it.  The second E-mail, to my new boss in Italy was a little more difficult, since I have never written an E-mail to anyone in another country.  I had to do some research as to how their culture would write an E-mail if they were in my position.  In the end, I only found a couple of grammatical errors which needed to be addressed.
