Places
to Go in Israel:

No
matter where you go in Israel, there is something new to see.
The first photo on the side , in Jerusalem, shows Yaki standing in front of the Western Wall (the Wailing Wall) the only remaining portion of the Second Temple and the most sacred site to Jews around the world. Photo number 2 was taken in Acco onthe harbour next to the old market.. It is truly a lovely place to be in the summer time. I admit that I also include this photo to remind myself of my former pre-pregnancy figure. Here's to a similar post-pregnancy shape!. Our next two photos were taken on a trip to the north. Photo number 3 is Yaki enjoying the icy cold waters of Nahal Amud just down the mountain from the city of Zefat in the Galilee. It is a really beautiful place to hike with a unique and ancient system of water canals visible throughout the entire hike. The next photo was taken at a petting zoo we visited on that same trip. I really had a great time playing with the bunnies as you can see! The Galilee is full of surprises and we really enjoyed staying at a vegetarian village, Amirim, during our stay. We'd recommend this area to anyone interested in a weekend get away in Israel. The fifth and sixth photos were taken on a hike along Nahal David near the Dead Sea. It was a blisteringly hot hike in mid-July and just at the point when we thought we'd faint from the heat (despite the water bottles we kept draining), we landed at this deliciously refreshing little water fall along the river. The hike doesn't meet the actual river until this point, so you can imagine my joy at being able to take this little shower! A little further along the hike we arrived at a natural swimming hole at the foot of a larger and more beautiful waterfall. You can see how long it took Yaki to strip down and jump right in! What fun to play in the cold water in the middle of the hot hot desert! Our seventh photo to the left was taken on Masada. Yaki and his friend Irshad, who visited us for a few days in July, are right in the middle of the old fortress on top of the mountain. Until you see it for yourself, you can't imagine how amazing it truly is. The
last 3 photos were taken at the Dead Sea. This is the lowest place
on earth and a fantastic place to treat yourself to a relaxing overall
body rejuvinating weekend. Floating in the Dead Sea is an experience
you will never forget. A float does the body a world of good and
afterwards you can just feel your skin is already healthier. At the spas
you can enjoy the mud baths for an extremely reasonable price, as you can
see we thoroughly did! It makes you feel so youthfully uninhibited
to slather mud all over your body and yet know that your skin is benefitting
tremendously from the experience.
