No matter where you go in Israel, there is something new to see.

The first photo on the side shows us standing in the heart of Jerusalem, in the Old City.  The market is full of activity and one can see the clothes of dozens of religious orders throughout the Old City.  On a sunny day, this is a great place to visit.

Photo number 2 was taken when we were in Haifa for the afternoon.  In the photo we are standing in the Bahai Gardens overlooking the Haifa harbour.  In order to really appreciate how beautiful the gardens are, you have to go there in person. It's really a garderners paradise.

The third and fourth photos were taken in the summer while we were in Acco.  The old Crusader city is a mixture of Jews and Arabs and the market is a mosaic of spices and colorful wares and people sitting and smoking a nargilah by the sea side.  All around you, you can see and smell the flavor of the mixed traditions and the millenia of history.  The 3th photo shows me in the Old Crusader Market.  I love markets and always feel like a little kid when I visit one.  The 4th photo is a glimpse of what you can see at one of the many spice vendors around the market.

Oakie is featured in our fifth photo, taken in the Negev on our way to the Dead Sea.  Even in the harsh desert, you have to recognize the beauty of this land.   One of the best things about Israel is that there is a little bit of every kind of land here - and all within a very short distance of home.

Photo number 6 was taken in Park Timna in the south.  Yaki is standing in front of Solomon's Pillars which are in the middle of the hot hot hot desert.  The temperatures can get well into the 40'sC here, which means that no one should go even a few minutes in this region without an ample supply of drinking water.

Finally the last photo was taken in Eilat, the southernmost point in Israel after the Sinai was given back to Egypt.  Eilat is famous for it's coral reefs, which offer wonderful opportunities for snorkling and diving.  It's also a popular getaway for Israelis hoping to escape the 'cold' of winter in the north.
