Inspiration: the gruff but not very lovable good guy. He causes much suffering as an oppressive opportunistic leader, but his goal is that of Kitt: defeat the darkness. I felt there needed to be someone to conflict with the heroes� �leader�, so here he is.
History: Coruva always wanted to be a fighter, and dreamed of entering the Aer-Tial military. When he turned 16 and was old enough, he went to training where he excelled at the use of a sword. He made a close relationship with a fellow trainee, Kailim, but Kailim was killed in a brawl with a gang of bandits in the city of Iaro. Coruva then went the way of the power hungry, his friends consisting of those he wished to use to get to the top, and those who wished to use him in a similar fashion. At this dangerous game he became very proficient very quickly. He soon rose to the rank of Lietennant, and then to Captain in just 6 years.
Coruva became head General of the Aer-Tial at the age of 23 after the death of Sinton. Coruva had managed to outmaneuver the other Captains in the military and received the position as the youngest general ever. His command would also be laced with similar quirks to its leader. Whereas Sinton and his predecessors were content to serve the people, with a modest living fee and encampments, Coruva wanted to extend the influence of the Aer-Tial in the Yeterian Plain. He demanded a fortress be built, a castle really, to house the main branch of his soldiers. Afterward he placed barracks of soldiers in every human city, and stationed soldiers on the trade routes between the cities. Then he placed tolls on the roads and soon became a very wealthy man. Then when Coruva learned of the Howlers, he learned of how powerful they were and initiated the first draft in Human history, even Minatdor hadn�t needed a draft to wage his war of genocide. Coruva�s reputation is wavering on shaky ground.
