My name is Michiko Makita. I am a treasurer for JTAT this year. This is the 8th year to teach at R. L. Turner High School. I enjoy being around young people so eager to learn Japanese here at Turner. I know that it is not easy being the teacher, but knowing all of you encourages me to go on.

Dear colleagues

I have been teaching Japanese at Baylor University in Waco since August of 1990. My research area and interests includes teaching Japanese with use of technology.

I am also the guy who puts newsletter together, so if you have an article or two you want to put in the newsletter, please let me know. It could be what you are doing in your class, your recent trip to Japan, recognitions and awards, etc. I want to put another newsletter out in April. So next article deadline will be March 15th.
