Hornedo Middle School / Franklin High School ( El Paso Independent School District
) invites applications for the following position: Instructor of Japanese. Program
levels consist of Japanese Levels I and 2 (Dr. Hornedo Middle School) and Levels
3 and 4 (Franklin High School). Position will begin August of 2002. Please direct

| Hi.... My
name is Yoshiko Brotherton, and I am the new president of JTAT. I am one of the
charter members of the association. I have been teaching Japanese language at
two public schools in the Fort Bend ISD, suburb of Houston. The names of school
are Clements, and Kempner High Schools. Prior to high school teaching, I taught
Japanese language at NASA, and University of Houston, Clear Lake, Continuing Education. I
studied Behavioral Science, and Humanity at University of Houston, Clear Lake.
I also studied English Literature at Kanto-Gakuin College. My field of interests
are people and their behaviors, archaeology, and biblical studies. I am born
and raised in Yokosuka, Kanagawa-ken, from where present prime minister, Mr. Koizumi
is. I have three grown up sons who are all married, and have five grand children.
Two of my sons are in the military services. My hobbies: gardening, flower
arranging, valley ball, ping-pong, oil and water color paintings, Chinese painting
(Nanga), archaeological diggings, and classical music.
