heard new year greeting such as this all over Japan during the "matsu no
uchi." It sound so fresh in the chilly air mixed with the faint fragrance
of plum blossoms. All the rituals associated with the new year had to be followed,
then my family talked about our dreams and commitments for the new year while
enjoying otoso and ozoni. The September 11th attack has touched the lives of everyone,
not only in the United States, but all over the world. After these saddest incidents,
people have realized the value of life and their priorities. They have since been
mending their relationship, which was once interrupted or broken. These relationships
have been renewed through communication. We all know that the contingence of communication
is a positive relationship, and communication involves multiple individuals. We
have all experienced the positive communication affects relationships, especially
between parents and children, husband and wife, between siblings, friends, and
neighbors, as well as teachers and students. Communication leads to strengthen
the relationship and then the association, in the case of JTAT. As a Japanese
language teacher, I believe that we need to know more about each other. We are
all in the same boat. I want every teacher who teaches Japanese language in the
large state of Texas to share what is going on in their lives including in the
classroom. It is not only the language area but we can share happy news as well
as heartaches so that we can share your joy, and or we can carry a small part
of your burden to lighten your heartaches. In order to communicate with each other,
we must have an friendly environment based on compassion and trust. How can we
make such an environment, you might ask? Will you choose one Japanese language
teacher you have not talked with before to start an e-mail
