Programming Your Remote

You can use your JP1 interface to customize your remote in many different ways.  You can program basic remote functionality with macros, key moves, learning, and other functionality described in the user manual.  You can use it to upgrade your remote to control devices that it can’t control out of the box.  If it already controls a device but is missing some commands, you can add them.  You can change what buttons send what commands.  You can even add mini-programs to the remote that change how the remote behaves (i.e. have it send different commands depending on whether you do a long or short key press) by using advanced programming techniques called extenders and special protocols.

What are you trying to program your remote to do?

I want to adjust the way my remote functions using basic macro, key move, and learning functionality.

I am trying to get my remote to control a new device.

My remote already controls my device, but it is missing some commands that I want to add.

I want to completely customize my remote’s behavior by using extenders and special protocols.
