Why Was Helena Premature? ...FAQs
She rolls all over the place and has recently started scooching around the floor which prompted us to bring in a play pen for her. She still sleeps up to 12 hours a night and naps frequently during the day. She laughs and laughs constantly at the cat, her big brother Ethan, and especially at her Daddy! Josh only has to walk in the room and call out to her, "Hi, Pookie!" to start her laughing.
Thanks again for all your prayers and continued interest in how Helena is progressing. Her health amazes us all as does her development, which lags only about a month behind - pretty amazing for a preemie.
Meanwhile, Ethan has started 2nd grade this fall at Oakton Elementary where he is making many new friends. When asked to write something about clouds, he recently wrote a long epic about zombie clouds in a battle against the last cloud on earth. I think his teacher was expecting something a little more scientifically based from him, but it was amazingly creative!
