Introduction The Landscope is a project that seeks reconciliation between the opposing worlds of industry and nature, and real and virtual space, through the theoretical proposition of a design that is generative of both a building and landscape. This research and design project begins by seeking out a responsive relationship between natural phenomena and digital tools, as is exemplified by the another theoretical project: Buckminster Fuller's Geoscope. Fuller's design was that of a geosdesic sphere, lined with aerial images of the earth in it's entirety, to be viewed from within as a system for the relaying of information pertaining to the earth's processes and material flows. His proposal was then one that envisioned a new relationship with the earth, as his Geoscope would become a control centre for the planet. The Landscope uses some of the principles of geometric and spatial mapping explored by Fuller as a means of generating form, systemic relationships, and provides the visionary grounds to develop a new hybrid environment.
