Interpretive Centre Hybrid Fields

Interpretive Centre This proposition envisions a facility to house interpretive public programming for visitors to the National Water Resarch Institute. Conceived as a series of spatial and visual layers, it houses a large area for displays, gallery spaces for artists and scientists alike, and a large atrium space featuring an interactive illuminated translucent wall, modelled on the interlocking wetland cell system. Through this, the actual hybrid fields may be viewed themselves. Further, a large theatre space is located at the end of the building, overlooking the water, such as to provide a contemporary theatrical backdrop to lectures and performances. |
