Welcome to the Rules section, if you are here you probably aren't a regular Joer, or you were just checking this section out. This is where you can find all of the rules on how to play Jo. The rules for the classic Jo Game are on this page, and there are links below to get to the other variation rule pages. Classic Jo is played on a sheet of graph paper, usually on a 5x5 board, but it can be played on a board of any size. Most common boards are 5x5, 10x10, 25x25, or any other interesting shape! Players are represented by a scribble, or an X, at the spot where they start. Each turn, each player moves up, down, left, or right. When you make a move, you scribble in the new space that you moved to. Then next turn, you move off of your last made move, moving up, down, left, or right. You cannot move over any space that has already been scribbled out, or moved on. If you cannot move anymore, then you lose the game. There is no luck involved in this game, so play wisely! |
