    The Rules of 3D Jo!

First of all, the rules of Snake Jo follow all of the basic rules for Classic Jo, which you can find here.

3D Jo is probably one of the most confusing variations of Jo ever made. Instead of playing on a flat surface, you play inside a cube, where you can move six different directions each turn, (left, right, up, down, forward, and backward). In order to represent the board, which is generally a 5x5x5, you draw five different 5x5 boards next to eachother. Then you draw a line surrounding all five boards.

In order to be able to play this variation correctly, you need to envision all five boards on top of eachother. You can move normally on each board, and you can move up a board or down a board in a chain, as long as you remain in the same spot. For example, if a player is located in the middle of the center board, he can either move up, down, left, right, or up a board (still in the center of his new board), or down a board.
