TRED 701: Enhancing Teaching Through Technology

Electronic Portfolio

Description of the Project:

An electronic portfolio in the form of a website. The website showcases the work that has been done during the course and demonstrates how the ISTE technology standards are being addressed by this work.

My Electronic Portfolio...

...is right here! You are now in my website, which has separate pages for each TRED 701 project and each ISTE standard. The pages are linked according to which projects address which standards.

Applicable ISTE Standards:

Standard I: Technology Operations and Concepts. Creation of a WebQuest demonstrates introductory knowledge, skills, and understanding of technology.

Standard II: Planning and Designing Learning Environments and Experiences. Experience gained creating a portfolio website can be used to create a class website for students. Such a website, if done effectively, could constitute a learning environment in and of itself.

Standard III: Teaching, Learning, and the Curriculum. A class website, as mentioned above under Standard II, would provide a technology-enhanced environment and experience for students.

Standard V: Productivity and Professional Practice. Teachers could create websites for any number of applications (e.g. class, school club, department). Such websites would increase a teacher's effectiveness and productivity.
