Built-in Booths
|
| |
Very few facilities in Korea with built-in booths conform to international standards(ISO2603).
Professional interpreters will not work if the physical conditions make it impossible to deliver quality interpretation.
It is a good idea, therefore, to check the facility beforehand. Frequently, mobile booths have to be set up after checking the
existing facility(built-in booths) and finding them unworkable or unacceptable. Check with the interpreters to avoid a surprise on the day of the event.

Mobile Booths
|
| |
Mobile booths should also comply with the international standard(ISO4043). However, if there are shortfalls,
they are usually less serious compared to most built-in booths in Korea. Most interpreters will prefer mobile booths
over unsuitable or badly maintained built-in facilities.

Simultaneous Equipment
|
| |
In order to avoid situations where a meeting has to be stopped because of equipment problems,
hire equipment providers that are tried and true. I would advise against trying out novel locations for the first time.
Let someone else experiment. Interoperability with the existing sound system is important as well.
