Walnut Basketball
Our league began in 1997.  The Walnut church gym was a few yrs old and was used just for pick up games.  My teams had been playing in the Inter Church League down in the OC and the FCBC LA league in Lincoln Hts, but when those closed down, we began ours.  My memory is fuzzy but I think the first team to win was CBCOC.  Back then I didn't know how to use the internet, so everything was recorded on paper, which unfortunately has all been lost.  Below, you can see when my paper trail ended and the internet trail began.  Only four players remain from the original start up of the league, myself, the Zee brothers, and Jason from CBCOC.  Jason would later start the CrossTrainers League. Besides the game, the best thing about this league is the friends I have made and continue to make.  For instance, I met Johnny when he was just a high schooler or collegian and he came in with the LA CCF team in 97-98.  Now he is the commissioner of the Mofufus League and my team mate in some of the other leagues.
