Paper Match Stalactites
(Plain Text for page 60):

PUT A FOREST OF PAPER MATCH "STALACTITES" ON YOUR CEILING!!!!!!

-Another in a series of fun, simple, do--it-yourself articles from the Pseudopsychoenvironmencology laboratories............................

Here is a home-beautifying project which will not only "customize" your ceiling, but also amaze your friends and inspire them to try it in their own homes!!
Visualize this: One day you invite the gang over for "refreshments," when they look up at the ceiling, they see thousands of completely burned paper matches, each hanging by it's own head. They all ask you how it was done and you demonstrate thusly-- 1) take a book of paper matches and tear one from it. 2) Ignite it by striking it on the cover. 3) Let it burn down as far as possible towards the end. 4) Just before the flame reaches your fingers, grasp the burned sulphur head (now cooled) with the thumb and forefinger of your other hand. 5) Allow the end of the match to finish burning and cool. 6) carefully take hold of the end again and let go of the head without breaking it off. 7) Put a drop of spit on your finger, then transfer it to the head of the match. 8) Continue holding the end of the match, then toss it up at the ceiling, letting go as you toss. 9) Immediately upon making contact with the ceiling, the match head will stick and the rest will hang down.
After it dries, the match head is rock hard. The body of the match can still be broken off, but the head is there to stay until scraped off with a knife. After some practice and the required amount of toss is calculated, you can nonchalantly toss the match up after performing the "burn off" for more effect. -Or you can try for accuracy & make your own artistic designs!!!!!!!!
