Travel Scholarship Fund:

The Jim Arden Foundation organizes educational trips to Africa for privileged and underprivileged young people, and educators. These trips focus on serving African schools.

If you have traveled to Africa before you know the experience is life-changing. The bush is awe-inspiring because it is both beautiful and unforgiving. Nowhere else on earth is the wildlife so plentiful, unusual and varied. And there is a puzzling incongruity in people there as they are passionate, joyful and welcoming in the face of abject poverty. You cannot return home the same person as when you left. Anyone who has traveled to Africa with Jim as their guide can attest to his ability to make a great experience exceptional. He has a knack at getting behind the scenes allowing his guests the opportunity to discover the Africa that normally only belongs to the locals. The experience has a profound impact one�s values and JAF is particularly enthusiastic about the effect it has on young people from this affluent corridor of the world. While all trips that are scheduled will be open to individuals and families at the going rate, JAF is committed to making room on these trips for deserving students and educators. Your gift to this fund will allow JAF to provide full and partial scholarships to applicants who demonstrate a need and whose lives exemplify the spirit that Jim has tried to instill in his students over the years.
