Which one best describes you?
The link provides technology connections to eight intelligences
Taking my personal MI inventory instantly made me think of my "Colours" in-service some years ago.  I took a short test and found out what type of person I am.  As it turns out, it was no surprise in the end.  After all, I have known me for 30 years!  It was a similar experience when I took my MI inventory to find out what type of learner I am.  I predicted the results to be quite close to the actual results.  They are outlined in the chart below. The inventory is found here.
Linguistic            -----------------------23
Mathematics       -------------------------25
Visual/Spatial      ---------------------------------33
Body/Kinesthetic----------------------------------34
Naturalistic         -----------------------------------------41
Music                --------------------------------32
Interpersonal      ------------------------24
Intrapersonal      ----------------------22
The activity showed that I am strongest in the areas of Naturalistic and Kinesthetic intelligences.  Following close behind was Visual/Spatial lead by Musical.
I was not surprised to discover the areas in which I display strength.  I have always enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, walking, running, swimming, doing aerobics, and weight training.  I was initially a bit surprised, and always had been, that my career choice doesnt quite reflect these strengths.  I teach math and science.  Upon further reflection, I did realize that many things that I do as a teacher reflect my strengths.  I coach volleyball and I often take students outdoors to do science activities. My favorite unit to teach in science is the biology unit involving plants and animals.  I incorporate many hands on lab activities during this unit.  Ive tried having plants and an aquarium in my classroom but circumstances did not allow for them to be properly cared for.  I also teach a dance and drama elective which I look forward to every week.
As a teacher, knowing this information can certainly help in responding to all of my student's needs.  Especially if someone is having difficulty in an area.  Knowing their strengths for learning should allow for successful learning as well as sucessful teaching.

As a student myself, the best learning environment for me is hands-on, practical experience.  We should all develop all of our intelligences in order to be well rounded.  Just because something is easy or good in one way, doesn't mean it should always be done in that manner.  The world would be an awfully boring place.  To develop all of one's intelligences, teachers must provide all sorts of learning situations and opportunities to meet the needs of everyone as well as challenge everyone to grow intellectually.
