From an early age, I was a fast learner. According to my mother, I first read a sign at the age of 3, when I wondered what a sign that said Kiss Ride meant. I started writing stories pretty quickly, too, though I don't have any of my early stuff. My technique is still improving to this day.
All of these stories are multi-chapter and only a few of them are done. Keep coming back for more parts!
I've also included articles I've written for
VOX, which is an Atlanta-area teen newspaper that I've been a part of since Summer 2005. The VOX stories, as listed here on this site, are links that point to the .pdf of the actual page the story appeared on.

Stories:
714 (2005-06): I love the show Lost, especially because of how dynamic the characters are and how they interact with one another. I especially love Sawyer, but that's another story altogether. Anyway, this is basically a Japanese version of it, including a group of students, an adorable little kid, an investigative journalist, a doctor, a flight attendant, a few English teachers, and an air marshal. This doesn't have the same amount of mystery as Lost, because I'm incapable of writing mysteries, but it's still quite fun.

My Lovely Pixel Lady
(2006): Anyone ever seen Video Girl Ai? For those who haven't, it's a pretty old anime/manga series about a girl who emerges from a video tape in order to help a lonely boy get a girlfriend. My Lovely Pixel Lady is like Video Girl Ai, except I've brought it into the Digital Age by making the girl in question come out of a computer. Oh, and of course the plot lines differ!

Evangeline's Metamorphosis
(2004-06): What a challenge! I've challenged myself to write a five-book saga chronicling five years in the life of a seemingly normal teenage girl. This is the first book. The titular character is currently 17 (but turns 18 during the book) and living in Panama City Beach, FL. In this part, she learns what it's like to be an assassin, among other things. The reason that it spans 2 years is that I originally wrote a story like this one but with some big differences back in 2004 but lost part of the manuscript somewhere along the way and decided to just start over.

Final Fantasy 7 Label Hour
(2003): This one is a geezer compared to my other works. I decided that it would be cool to typecast Final Fantasy 7 characters into typical American high school labels. Hilarity ensued. Some of the stuff here seems so dated (especially the fangirling over Vincent), but I have to admit that "Bitch I Love You" is pretty brilliant.
ACTUALLY, this one is complete (I was going to write a fifth part, but then my computer died)

Silver Shores School of Magic
(2005-06): Take the concepts from Harry Potter but transfer the location to a school in Hawaii, make the lead character a female who has lost her mom (but not her Muggle dad) and is now discovering magic school after 4 years of homeschooling, add a generous amount of teenage drama, keep the magic the same, and you have Silver Shores. I love writing this piece, even if I only write a few paragraphs or so at a sporadic time.

The Worst School Trip Ever
(2005): Another what if story, this time concerning Battle Royale (highly recommended book), where a group of kids in a dystopian Japan are sent to an island, given random weapons, and told to kill one another until just one is left. I made the kids American and kept some of the dystopian setting (not totalitarian like in Battle Royale, but there are hints of a mandatory draft, something I personally fear).
This story is complete too!

Article

"The Princess Complex
" (August 2005): A "Third Eye" (opinion) about how girls will relentlessly seek out boyfriends, even if they've been hurt by them before. Also includes a very not-subtle reference to my ex-boyfriend.
"Punk for a Cause
" (August 2005): A 2-part story detailing how rock and hip-hop are involved in politics. For this article, I did an interview with a guy in Oregon via telephone. I also did the little donkey graphic! Scroll down past the page with the raised fist.
"The Truth about Being a Teacher's Kid
" (January 2006): For the education-themed issue, I wrote about what it's like to be the child of a teacher.
"Horoscopes
" (February 2006): The last time I wrote horoscopes for VOX before I became too burned out. I wrote them from September to February, but the February ones are the only ones I can find. (Yes, I am Star Maiden.)
