Neptune

The Planet of Storms

Neptune is so far from the Earth that it is difficult to see - even with a powerful telescope. It was discovered in 1846. Neptune has eight known moons and four rings. It has small aqua clouds that look similar to those on Earth.

Neptune, like Jupiter and Saturn, has storms that last for years - even centuries. Neptune's winds may be the fastest in the solar system.
