(Right):  Here is the addition in the early stages of construction.  The elevated portion has been added to the two sub-sections closest to the exsisting layout.  The elevated portions have not yet been added to the large square section closest to the camera.  This square section will become the Sycamore Industrial Complex.  SY Tower can be seen on the extreme right, where it will eventually sit.
(Below): Another view of the extension.  The thin black lines drawn on the blue foam are the track centers.  The red lines are where the road will eventually be extended to.  The small interlocking tower is currently sitting where it will be on the finished layout addition.  The black foam sub road bed is just laying there for now, it will be glued on later.  The exsisting tracks at the bottom of the photo will be realigned so that the track with the gondola on it will mate up with the black line on the far right of the blue foam.
(Below): Here is a close up of the other end of the soon to be tunnel.  The foam has been generally shaped at this end.  Again, the small interlocking tower sits in its final position.  To properly visualize what is happening, the new tunnel will be where the black foam sub-road bed is currently laying and the Sycamore yard will be on top where the caulking gun and note pad are laying in this photo.  The back drop will eventually be extended down the entire back side of the layout.  This construction has been planned so that the rest of the layout is still operational, while construction continues on this end.
