(Below) #17 and 28 work together alot. At just 500hp these little switchers can't move many cars on their own.  As is typical in many short lines, there are many varieties of the WE&H paint job.  #17 shows off what was to be the WE&H paint job for good, but due to excessive fading of the bright red color, management abandoned the bright red for a maroon color.  It should be noted that maroon and white are the standard colors for all WE&H structures, so the move to maroon and white for the locomotives was a logical one. #17 was purchased second hand from another short line.  It was delivered in a yellow and red paint job wearing the road #58.  #28 was also purchased second hand and was delivered in a Chessie paint job.  Both were retired in Dec 2002.
(Below) #19 is the only trolley owned by the WE&H.  It was originally purchased from the South Hills short line and wore a black and yellow paint job.
(Below) #56 is the first 2nd Generation diesel to be acquired by the WE&H.  It was purchased second hand from BNSF and delivered in a Santa Fe paint scheme wearing the road #5628.  It wears the current 2001 paint scheme with stencil lettering.
(Below) #165 is running alone showing off its Western Maryland inspired scheme.
(Below) #183 was the first WE&H locomotive.  Management has since determined that this paint scheme is too time consuming to apply.  Additionally the white side sills wear too quickly.  Additionally the road number was too hard to read and the black square with white number was adopted.
