"Back from the dead" or "What an unexpected turn of events. Again." or "Why do these things happen to me?"

Whew! What a week it was.

Thanks to those who remembered and greeted me on my birthday :) My birthday wasn't so much fun really. No big parties or celebration and all that. I was just surprised, and it's that kind of surprise I least expected. Anyway, I've totally somehow got over it already. Moving on...

Tuesday

My birthday. For the first time this month, the day started with a drizzle. I neglected to use my umbrella to feel Rain's drops raindrops on my face. Could it be a shower of blessing, or the day is just mourning for me? I received text messages from friends and loved ones throughout the day. Nina called me up, and so did my Won-won, all the way from Sydney. Won-won and I talked for almost an hour :) She certainly lifted my mood though the day is almost over. I had dinner with Ginny at Megamall to talk about something. All about everything. Thanks, Ginny. :)

Friday

ITS Christmas Party. I and the rest of the GRB band volunteered to help out with the preparations for our office Christmas Party in Northeast Greenhills. I dressed up as Harry Potter in Triwizard Tournament First Task once again, but I lost the Best in Costume award to one of our Senior System Analysts, Sir Art, who dressed up as Obi-Wan Kenobi. His get-up didn't really look like Obi-Wan or any other Jedi, but he really looked good and cool in front of the three judges - one of which is the President and CEO of ITS International.

The GRB band performed well, though I was a bit nervous. But mind you, we were quite a hit with the crowd. :D

My skit presentation (which I wrote) with Group 2 (Harry Potter & Pirates of the Caribbean theme, that's why I transferred from Group 4 to this one) went okay even though only three braved to do an impromptu performance with me. And we won Second Prize. :D First Prize went to Group 1 (Star Wars & Charlie's Angels theme) who waved their homemade lightsabers in a dramatic choreography to the tune of the Star Wars main theme. Third Prize went to Group 4 (The Legend of Zorro & Moulin Rouge theme), whose presentation was directed by me. :P Group 3 (The Matrix & Titanic theme) lost by default because they didn't have any presentation. Party poopers. :P

Saturday

Ruth's birthday party at her place in San Lorenzo Village. What I enjoyed the most was the endless hours we spent on the KTV. :P I certainly did cry my heart out on some of the songs. I sort of let it all out. It was a great time for me to have fun after a very long five-day stretch. And the night isn't complete without a song number of Incomplete (excuse the pun), Ginny's personal favorite because it's too mushy and corny daw. Thanks, Ruth, for the party. It felt like I was having my own party too :D Belated happy birthday! Also, thanks to Chiqui for the cool clip :)

Sunday

SWP Trooping again at the Megatrade Hall in SM Megamall. We trooped at the 2005 Mega Christmas Expo for just an hour.

Then after that, I rushed to Glorietta to meet a dear high school friend. We watched Goblet of Fire (my sixth time! whoa!) because she hasn't seen it yet. She treated me to the movie with her MTRCB ID pass. Man, I gotta have one of those! Free movies for two anytime, anywhere for a year! Then we had dinner, went shopping, and watched another movie at Greenbelt 3 - An Unfinished Life starring Robert Redford, Jennifer Lopez, and my favorite, Morgan Freeman. A bit boring, but it's really a good film. Sorry, I'm not much of a movie critic. :P Then she and I had coffee at the jampacked Starbucks at the overcrowded GB3. We called up some of our long-lost high school kabarkadas to invite them to have a reunion before the year ends.

Yesterday

After work, I rushed to attend IIEE-MIT's 10th Anniversary at Mapua Intramuros Gym. Together with the other alumni officers, I was asked to give an inspirational spit speech. We also celebrated Tito Ben's 77th birthday. It was nice seeing the faces of Lelibeth (Vetchz), Bernadette (Badet) and Renee Rose (Boggs) again, all of whom were my batchmates and co-officers. Of course there was also Wheng who never failed to miss any IIEE-MIT activity.

Congratulations to IIEE-MIT! Yebah!

And I'm still having a bad hair day ever since I had my hair cut. >.<

These songs are playing in my head over and over again, all of which mean something:

Magic Works
Broken Sonnet
You and Me
Five Candles
Let That Be Enough

I'm basically fine now. I hope everything will turn out alright. I tried, I fell, and now I'm standing up once again. What's life without being brave enough to face the challenges? After all, I am a Gryffindor. :)

And surely, as I've mentioned before, whatever may happen, blissful moments are here to stay. :)

MONDAY, 05 December 2005

I meant every word I said the last time. I'll just need some space for a while. Especially this week.

Thank you for everything.

I had a clear idea of what this week month holds for me at 12:06 PM

MONDAY, 05 December 2005

Here I am with a late entry, early in the morning.

Last Saturday was a blast! It was Athena's 17th birthday party. Though late, Gabe and I managed to host the program proper and the games. Since it was a Harry Potter-themed party, I came as The-Boy-Who-Lived, of course, and Gabe came as an undercover Moody in muggle clothes. The other PHP peeps who also came were Edwin, Carl, Ruth, Chiqui, and Ron.

Athena mesmerized us with her heavenly voice by performing some number of songs. She also surprised us with a rockin' performance with her younger brother Antone, and cute little sister Angela. The trio is also known as Amuz (amuse). There were also some performances by UA&P's DIS Band, among others.

This Gryffindor Rocks!

I didn't get a chance to interact with her UA&P friends because I'm shy eh :P We saw some clips of Athena's TV appearances in Sarah the Teen Princess. I hope that one day, I'll get introduced to Sarah Geronimo :P

We left the party at past 10 PM. Ron and the others drove me home. I live just a few blocks from Athena's.

Yesterday, I met with a very good friend of mine for some advice on something...

~*~*~*~*~*~

I've spent half my life looking for the reasons things must change. And half my life trying to make them stay the same. All that I could see was a mystery.

I care. I still do. And I always will.

I wondered what this week holds for me at 3:21 AM.

November in Twenty Seconds

A very interesting and lively month it was. It was the start of new things, new friends, and new challenges. A busy month, especially the weekends. Lots of activities, loads of fun. A month of many lessons learned. A month of redemption. Hopes became alive. New goals came into view.

Now I ask myself, how did the past month change the person in me? The answer is simple: only for the better. :D

Another one for my Wall of the Weird:

You Are 30% Boyish and 70% Girlish
Even if you're not a girl, you're very feminine.
You're in touch with your feelings, and your heart rules you.
A bit of a emotional roller coaster, one moment you're up and the next you're down.
But no matter what, you try to be as cute and perky as possible.

Only ten questions and I got this result? Can you imagine? Me? Girlish? Ay, bongga! :P

"It's funny how from simple things, the best things begin."

I'm liking you even more.

I felt that this is the month at 12:06 AM.

TUESDAY, 29 November 2005

In the office, I:

- composed this list
- haven't received any word about the MTI deployment *grumble mumble*
- switched from COBOL to J2SE once again
- have yet to memorize and practice Barely Breathing, The Hurt, and Abot Kamay for the *coughchristmaspartyintermissionnumbercough*
- was writing the plot for Group 2's Harry Potter / Pirates of the Caribbean presentation
- was daydreaming... :D

~*~*~*~*~*~

Starting tomorrow, or rather today, better things are sure to happen. I promise. :D

I'm very thankful of your friendship. You are one very special person. You deserve the best. Only the best.

The winds are calm. The night is peaceful. I could rest forever from 11:29 PM.

SUNDAY, 27 November 2005

Absolutely bored at the moment. I'm used to going out on weekends, but I'm stuck here at home on a Sunday. My mom and my sisters went somewhere while I was still asleep, like an all-women's day out or something. Hehehe.

On to the activities. Last Friday, the GRB band from Batch 7 had a practice at Marwin's place in Cubao in the evening. We still sound a little rough, but with more practice, we can be the next Lifehouse :P Then yesterday, I had a SPAM (hahaha!) with Ginny, the Malfoy Kid, Malkin, Mrs. Black, and the Auror. We discussed some things, blah blah blah, and blah (Sorry, some of the words were filtered and got replaced by blahs). We even had a chat with Won-won over the phone! :D At 6 pm, we farted, este parted and I made my second moot appearance at Seattle's Best in Greenbelt 3. I met more TPTS peeps :D There were also the familiar faces (meaning nakakasawa na. Joke! =P Siriusly, thanks, guys for being there all the time!) of Nina, Gabe, Ron, and Chiqui. We had barrels of laughter from Seattle's Best to Kitchen to The Coffebean & Tea Leaf. Shomeone alsho went shtowy-telling about shomething :P

December's coming. More partiesh! Hooray!

You scored as Idealist. Idealism centers around the belief that we are moving towards something greater. An odd mix of evolutionist and spiritualist, you see the divine within ourselves, waiting to emerge over time. Many religious traditions express how the divine spirit lost its identity, thus creating our world of turmoil, but in time it will find itself and all things will again become one.

It's been done. It wasn't hard taking the first step. A lot of burden was taken off my back. Now comes a whole new challenge. Whether I make it through or not, blissful moments are here to stay. It will be all worthwhile taking every step. No fears, no worries. After all, I am a Gryffindor. :)

I'll never forget the picture of your smile.

I am bored, but happy at 4:16 PM.
