Primarily, it is our concern to see that our nations get back on their feet.   After a decade of Unionist mismanagement, we are left with a crumbling nation.   Our state bureaucracy is the largest in the world, sucking up outrageous amounts of our budget simply to maintain.  The Democratic Alliance stands for returning the power to the people by dismantling this behemoth and removing government from our lives as much as possible.

A strong democracy is paramount to all other ends.  From a strong democracy will sprout those other economic and social goods that we all want: health care, education, economic growth, and dropping crime.  An involved society is a happy society.

We oppose, at this time, the wholesale liquidation of the government assets, as has been proposed by the Free Market Party.  This will be a costly and painful process as markets are opened up and the government monopolies are brought tumbling down, and for this reason we must exercise restraint and caution.  We must review all options before running headlong into the corporate mantra of privatization.
