The Progeny are a race of bug-like aliens who are the favored subjects of their creator, the Progenitor. They are competent soldiers who have no moral compunction in their holy mission to "delete" any race that is deemed "variant" from the Progenitor's wishes or design. The Progeny had been tracking Shikari in an effort to kill her when they came upon the demolished Legion Outpost and several Lost Legionnaires. The Legion continually foiled the Progeny's plans until they were captured and taken to the Progenitor, at which point the Legionnaires discovered that the he was actually their missing team-mate and friend, Jan Arrah, who had become somewhat insane after billions of years of solitude. After the Progenitor casually murdered Monstress and announced his plans to return to UP space and restructure it to his own design, the Legion moved to disable the Progeny in an effort to cripple their support of the their "god" and seemingly killed the Progenitor just prior to their return to UP space.
What the Progeny has done without the guidance of the Progenitor is unknown.
