| The Licensed Extra-Governmental Interstellar Operatives Network was formed during the 20th century by several aliens who had been imprisoned during the Invasion of Earth. The group was manipulated into forming by Vril Dox of Colu, an ancestor of Brainiac 5.1, and included Lyrissa Mallor from Talok VII, who possessed Dark-Field powers, Strata from Dryad, who was invulnerable and had enhanced strength, an un-named Durlan who had the ability to transform his body into various shapes and forms, Stealth, who had enhanced agility and reflexes and could dampen sound in a specified area, and Garryn Bek from Cairn. The mysterious disappearance of the Durlan heralded the appearance of a time-lost amnesiac named Phase who had the ability to become immaterial and was discovered to be one third of the Legionnaire, Tinya Wazzo. The bounty hunter Lobo also joined the team. Dox originally brought the group together to free his home planet from the Computer Tyrants but the team remained together and became a police force for the galaxy, gaining many more post-human operatives and thousands of non-powered officers as well. Vril Dox retired to parent his and Stealth's son, Lyrl, leaving the L.E.G.I.O.N. in the capable hands of Captain Comet. |
