Topaz Gold Gourmet Ginger Topaz
Gold is a true gourmet ginger, exclusive to Jaragun. Its flavour
and colour are unlike (and, we believe, superior to) those of the more
conventional Cantonese ginger. Topaz Gold has been bred selectively here
at Jaragun over about ten years, beginning with a single exceptional plant.
From that plant has come today's annual harvest of 20 tonnes or more of
this unique ginger. The rhizomes are a little smaller than some common
varieties, but rich in taste and colour. The flesh is clear golden
yellow and the taste is fresh and strong - ideal for both culinary use
and processing.
Topaz Gold is freshly harvested and packed by hand, upon order, for the domestic markets in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. It is transported in refrigerated vans and takes ten days from order to delivery at the market. You can't get fresher ginger than that. It is packaged in 6 kg boxes under our own Jaragun label, and the BFA certification logo. |
