Lilies of the Field Arum
Lilies (Zantedeschias) are native to South Africa, but grow wild in
many parts of Australia, where the climate is mild and there is abundant
water. Here on the Atherton Tableland, we can grow them in the cooler
months of the year. Arums have attractive, large white flower spathes,
and are traditionally used for Easter decorations and weddings.
Here at Jaragun, we grow these moisture-loving plants without chemicals, according to BFA standards. Like the rest of our produce, they are certified 'A' grade organic - an innovation in the flower industry.. Smell the flowers, not the spray! Perhaps people are not aware that most flowers are very heavily sprayed for pests and fungus, and are given an additional final spray as they are packed. This means that when we sniff the perfume of our bunch of flowers, we are getting a noseful of chemicals. Bad news for those sensitive to the chemicals! Jaragun Lilies are as pure as they look, and lovely to be near. Order through your local florist, or directly from us. Price: $1.00 per stem ![]() |
