Here at Janinda Hill, we strive to make handcrafted creations using our own original designs for specialty gifts for all occasions or you may choose to showcase our woodware in your own home. Our collection of unique lathe turned bowls, vases, sugar urns, trinket boxes, mini ducks and other collectibles, are sure to appeal to anyone who enjoys seeing the natural beauty of wood. We guarantee no two pieces will ever be completely identical.
Our decorative woodware all starts out as a chunk of firewood or rough sawn timber from the local mill. We look for oddities in a log, perhaps the grain has a particular design or a burl or knot appears to be the shape of the state of Florida, or maybe the color is deeper and richer than other pieces of the same wood. If it catches our eye, we will make it into a piece of woodware. After being cut, turned, sanded and varnished or stained, it becomes something strikingly beautiful, worthy of being showcased in a loved ones home, or your own, as well.
Hidden within our pages you will find secret treasures known as "Specialty Pieces". Hint: These gorgeous collectibles have been given names. They are beautiful and unique creations that we felt were in a class of their own. These pieces have been signed, dated, and numbered by the Artist.
