As the year began Juile almost married Don Craig until Addie went into remission and gave birth to Hope. This was a mixed blessing for Julie, who was grateful that her mother was well but still heartbroken not to be reunited with Doug. Julie tryed to fall back in love with Don Craig but he lost trust in her. Julie married Bob Anderson after his divorce from Phyllis. Phyllis tried to kill Julie and ended up shooting her daughter Mary, who survived. Addie was pushing Hope's stroller across the street and Adddie was hit by a car Hope was pushed to saftey by Addie before she died. Julie still could not be with Doug cause she was in a rocky marrage with Bob, she considered divorce.

Still with no memory Mickey (aka Marty) married Maggie. When the hortons found him he still did not know who he was. He decided to stay with Maggie divorcing Laura, Bill and Larua were free to marry. Maggie agreed to surgery and hoped Mickey would remarry her now that he is divorced.

Eric hid his feelings for Susan and her daughter. Susans's husband was becoming interested in Amanda his patient who was having an affair with Neil Curtis.

Jerri Clayton and her daughter Trish moved to salem this year and became a singing duo at Doug's Place.
