| Bombers' Notebook The Bombers' Notebook keeps a record of anyone Link has met on his journies. As he does favors and interacts with them, that will be recorded in your notebook. The relationships will usually end in a mask or a Piece of Heart or both, so they are worth your time. Bombers Take note of the secret code you are given by the bombers as a Deku Scrub. When you revert to your Hylian form, enter the hideout (over by the Mayor's Residence). When you exit, Jim will give you the Bombers' notebook. ??? Go into the Stock Pott Inn's toilet under the stiar at night. Give the hand that reaches out of the toilet some paper. You can get into the inn at night with a room key or by sprouting out of the Deku Flower by the Treasure Chest Game and hopping onto the landing connected to the inn. See Piece of Heart 7. Guru-Guru See the Bremen Mask under Happy Masks. Grog See the Bunny Hood under Happy Masks. Kamaro See Kamaro's Mask under Happy Masks. Rosa Sisters See Piece of Heart 8. Romani See the Romani Ranch Side Quest at the bottom of this page. Cremia See the Romani Ranch Side Quest at the bottom of this page. Gorman Brothers See the Romani Ranch Side Quest at the bottom of this page, as well as the Garo's Mask under Happy Masks. Old Lady from the Bomb Shop See the Bomb Mask under Happy Masks. Man from the Curiosity Shop You can buy the All-Night Mask (see Happy Masks) from him on day 3 if you have protected the Old Lady from the Bomb Shop from Sakon earlier in the same three-day sequence. You will need the Giant Wallet to buy the mask, which you can win by defeating the Spiders in the Oceanside Spider House on day 1. Also, see the Kafei Side Quest at the bottom of the page. Anju's Grandmother See Pieces of Heart 11 and 12. Toto Head to the Milk Bar once you have Romani's Mask, the Deku Scrub Mask, Goron Mask, and Zora Mask. From 10:00 pm to 5:00 am you will find Toto, a Zora, inside. Head onto the stage and perform the sound check for him; just follow his instructions. Gorman Toto's entry in the Bombers' Notebook is important only since it leads to Gorman's entry. Gorman will be moved to tears by your song; you'll win the Circus Leader's Mask (see Happy Masks) from him. Madame Aroma See the Kafei Side Quest at the bottom of this page. Anju See the Kafei Side Quest at the bottom of this page. Kafei See the Kafei Side Quest at the bottom of this page. Postman See the Kafei Side Quest at the bottom of the page. Also, win the Postman Timing Game for Piece of Heart 4. Mr. Dotour Show the mayor the Couple's Mask (see Happy Masks and the Kafei Side Quest at the bottom of this page) to end his long meeting. Romani Ranch Day 1 Use a Powder Keg to blow up the large boulder in the middle of the road to Romani Ranch (the road entrance is in Southern Termina Field near the entrance to the road to the Swamp). You'll find Piece of Heart 22, the Bunny Hood, and Romani's Mask on this side quest; the Piece of Heart and Bunny Hood are available as soon as you enter the Ranch, assuming you initailly have everything you need to get them. When you enter the ranch, you'll find Epona behind a fence. Talk to Romani, the little girl. She wants to protect the Ranch from the aliens that will invade that night. To prove that you can help her with her plan, agree to her practice session (you'll have to ride on Epona and pop all ten alien balloons around the ranch within a time limit). If you do well, you'll learn Epona's Song. Night 1 The aliens will invade at 2:30 am. Use the Inverted Song of Time to slow the flow of night -- and the approach of the aliens. Run around the barn shooting the aliens with your bow. If they get too close, you fail. Good luck. After this, you'll be able to keep Epona. Night 2 Cremia will leave the ranch at 6:00 pm in her wagon to deliver some milk to Clock Town. Talk to her beforehand to hitch a ride. You will be attacked by bandits -- the Gorman Brothers -- as you ride along. You can either shoot them with arrows when they approach, or just wear the Circus Leader's Mask to prevent them from attacking. If you are successful in fending them off, Cremia will reward you with Romani's Mask. Gorman Brothers You can do this any time without having to bomb open Romani Ranch (except that you'll need Epona; just play Epona's Song if you've already reclaimed her). Just head left from the road to the Ranch and you'll enter the Gorman Track. During the daytime, challenge the two to a race; if you win, you will receive the Garo's Mask (which is very useful in Ikana). Kafei Day 1 Visit Madame Aroma in the Mayor's Residence in East Clock Town to receive Kafei's Mask. Next, go to the front desk of the Stock Pot Inn and get the room key from Anju (you have to go around 2:00 - 4:00 pm). You're actually getting the room key for a Goron who has your same name; you can visit him outside at night. Poor guy. Hang around the Inn for a while and the Postman will enter. As he delivers a note to Anju, talk to them to listen in on the conversation. Put on Kafei's Mask, then talk to Anju to arrange a meeting later that night at 11:30 pm. Night 1 Use the room key or the Deku Flower to enter the inn after 8:30 pm when it closes to the public. Go into the kitchen (it's kinda behind the front desk) and talk to Anju, who will slowly walk in at 11:30 pm. She will tell about the disappearance of Kafei, her betrothed. She asks you to deliever the letter to Kafei. Head outside and drop the letter in any of the red mailboxes scattered around Clock Town before the morning. Day 2 You can play the Postman's Timing Game now (or any first or second day between 3:00 pm and 12:00 am) -- use the Bunny Hood for an easier time of it. The Postman will pick up your letter sometime between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm. You don't have to be present for it to get picked up. Hang out around the Laundry Pool at around 3:30 pm. You'll see who gets the letter. Run after the kid at 4:15, enter the door, and you can talk to the child. He will give you the Pendant of Memories. Night 2 Deliver the Pendant of Memories to Anju around 6:00 pm. Day 3 Hang out again by the Laundry Pool door and enter at 1:00 pm. Talk to the Curiosity Shop storeowner; you'll receive the Keaton Mask and a letter that should be delivered to Madame Aroma. There are two things you can do with this letter. You should do both if you want a bottle and a mask. Both will make your journey infiantely easier, so you'll have to repeat all the steps above on some other 3-day cycle to get the second item with the letter. - Option 1: Go to the Milk Bar after 6:00 pm (you'll need Romani's Mask and you can do this after the Night 3 proceedings, so long as it doesn't take too much time) and talk to Madame Aroma. Give her the letter and she will give you a bottle of Chateau Romani in return. - Option 2: Run to the Post Office and give the express mail to Madame Aroma to the Postman. You can follow him into the Milk Bar. She will relieve him of his job; if you talk to him afterwards, he will give you the Postman's Hat. Night 3 By 5:30 pm, you need to be at Sakon's Hideout (enter Ikana Canyon by passing the wall with the Garo sitting on top, follow the right wall, and you'll see a large stone door that is beyond the overpass and the Deku Scrub) and join Kafei hiding behind the stone. Sakon will saunter up the hill around 6:00 pm. Follow Kafei who follows Sakon into the hideout. Play the Song of Inverted Time, if you haven't already. Kafei will spot the Sun's Mask and will tell you to step on a switch. From this point on, you'll have to hurry, so read this before playing. You will soon be alternating between playing as Kafei and as Link. Your goal as Kafei is to step on blue switches to proceed (Link will be concentrating on killing bad guys to proceed). Do not step on or activate any red switches, since they make the conveyor belt move faster. Yellow switches are good, since they slow down the conveyor belt for a while. Step on the switch Kafei told you to step on, then you'll be playing as him instead of Link. Push the leftmost block into the center to activate the blue switch. Now you're Link again. Kill some baddies to proceed. In the next Kafei room, run counterclockwise around the room to the blue switch. In the final Kafei room, push the leftmost block down, pull the center top block left, push the center bottom block down, and the rightmost block down to get through the door. When you get to the final room, Kafei will grab the Sun's Mask. Play the Song of Soaring to return to Clock Town. Head back to the Stock Pot Inn and enter (via room key or Deku Flower), then go in the Employees Only room. After a LONG time, Kafei will arrive (he ran all the way from Ikana) to witness the reunion of Anju and Kafei. They will give you the Couple's Mask as a thank you. Later On some other three-day sequence, you can show the Couple's Mask to Mayor Dotour to end his meeting and win Piece of Heart 6. |
