Pieces of Heart

For every four Pieces of Heart Link gains, he will receive an extra heart container. Link can also win full heart containers after defeating each boss of the various temples. All these 52 Pieces and the Full Heart Containers will completely fill up Link's twenty heart containers. The ones in white Link can do without preparation (other than having the morphing masks). The ones in red he cannot.

Clock Town
1. Give the Deku Scrub in South Clock town the Moon Tear and use his Deku Flower to fly to the deck above the door in the Clock Tower, itself.
2. In the Sword Training Center in West Clock Town, get a perfect score on the Expert Course.
3. Climb up the slide in North Clock Town to find a prize in the top of the tree.
4. Win the Postman's Timing Game in West Clock Town. This is easier with the Bunny Hood.
5. Use the Postman's Hat to check the postboxes in Clock Town.
6. Wear the Couple's Mask for Mayor Dotour.
7. Give the hand in the Stock Pot Inn's toilet a piece of paper (a title deed or letter will do).
8. Show off your fancy dance moves to the Rosa sisters at nighttime in West Clock Town by wearing the Kamaro's Mask.
9. Use the Keaton Mask while cutting down the bushes near Piece of Heart 3. Answer all the questions correctly (this is quite difficult -- you must be very observant).
10. Save 5000 Rupees in the West Clock Town Bank.
11. Visit the grandmother in the Stock Pot Inn and listen to the "Carnival of Time." You must be wearing the All-Night Mask. Answer the question correctly.
12. Visit the grandmother in the Stock-Pot Inn and listen to "The Four Giants." You must be wearing the All-Night Mask. Answer the question correclty.
13. Score a perfect 50 points on the Town Shooting Gallery Game.
14. Win Bombachu Bowling (day 1), Basket Bomb (day 2), and Target Shooting (day 3) all in the say 3-day sequence. You may want to slow down time as you play.
15. Win the Treasure Chest Shop game as Darmani (it costs the most money as Darmani and he's a lot slower -- so you might want to practice as Mikau).
16. Get the best time in the Deku Scrub Playground three days in a row. It's in North Clock Town over by the fairy fountain.

Termina Field and Romani Ranch
17. From the Observatory, watch the Deku Scrub fly into a grotto. Head out into the field and hop down the hole. Bargain with him for the Piece of Heart -- you can get it for 100 rupees.
18. There are four grottos around the field with four gossip stones in each. Play, in the four different grottos, the same song, either the Sonata of Awakening as the Deku, the Goron Lullaby as Darmani, or New Wave Bossa Nova as Mikau.
19. Fight the Dodongos in the grotto in North Termina Field.
20. Fight the Pea Hat in the grotto in Southern Termina Field (it's hidden by the grass near some butterflies).
21. Fight the Deku Baba in the grotto in Western Termina Field (shoot the beehive on the ceiling).
22. Play the Doggy Race in Romani Ranch; if Link sums up 150 rupees in winnings, a Piece of Heart will be his prize. Put on your Mask of Truth, then pick up various dogs to read their minds. Your best bet will be dogs that begin their thoughts with "Ruff!"

Southern Swamp
23. Put on the Stone Mask (or not; you don't have to, it just makes this easier) and climb up the dead tree on the road to the Swamp. If you're not wearing the mask, watch out for keese.
24. Get the deed to the Deku Flower in Clock Town, then trade it to the Deku near the visitor center. This trading sequence continues through Pieces of Heart 30, 34, and 45.
25. Take a pictograph of Tingle or the Deku King and show it to the Pictograph Man in the Visitor Center.
26. Take the door to the left in the Deku Palace and worm your way past the guards (or wear the Stone Mask) to your prize.
27. Hop, as a Deku Scrub, to the left of the entrance in Woodfall to climb a plank.
28. After defeating Odolwa, take the swamp cruise boat and play Koume's game. Hit the target at least 20 times.
29. Shoot every target in the Swamp Shooting Gallery (turn left at the tree in the road to the swamp from the field) for a perfect score of 2,120 points. The first time, you'll get a quiver upgrade. The second time, a Piece of Heart. It's really difficult.

Northen Mountain
30. Give the Swamp Deku Scrub's Title Deed to the Scrub in the Goron Village.
31. After defeating Goht, dive into the water by the Mountain Village. Assume the body of Mikau.
32. Collect the five frogs by showing them Don Gero's Mask (one is at the pond in the Mountain Village after defeating Goht, another is by the Laundry Pool in Clock Town, another is along the waterway leading to Deku Palace, the fourth is found in Woodfall Temple after defeating the Snapper, and the final is in the Great Bay Temple after defeating Wart) and meet them in the Mountain Village pond. Listen to their song for a Piece of Heart. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it if you want the health.
33. You'll find a path of floating ice blocks with your Lens of Truth in Snowhead. Hop across and play the Scarcrow's Song. Hookshot over to him.

Western Ocean
34. Give the Goron Village Deku Scrub's Title Deed to the one in Lulu's room in Zora Hall.
35. Destroy the Like Like at the bottom of the waterfall near the beaver brothers and claim your prize.
36. Hookshot up to the upper level of Mikau's room in Zora Hall and read his journal (you'll have to be in Zora form). Remember the riffs. Play them with Japas, then go into Evan's room. Play (as anyone other than Mikau) the riffs to him for a Piece of Heart: C-right, C-right, C-down, A, A, C-down, C-right, A, C-left, C-left, C-right, C-down, C-down, C-right, C-left, C-down.
37. After the first mine & water room in the Pirate's Fortress, you'll find a room with a Piece of Heart in a cage. Go upstairs, break the barrels as Darmani, step on the switch, then run into the cage (it's easiest with the Bunny Hood) to claim your prize.
38. Rescue the second sea horse in Pinnacle Rock.
39. Wear the Captain's Hat in the Oceanside Spider House; each Stalchild will tell you a color and an order. When you get to the basement where the Stalchildren are sitting around a table, shoot the colored masks on the walls with arrows in the order they told you.
40. Catch fish in bottles and feed them to the fish in the tank in the Marine Research Laboroatory. Once one fish eaths the other, you'll get a Piece of Heart.
41. Play the Great Bay Jumping Game after defeating Gyorg (ride the boat, then hookshot over to the tree). It's over by the entrance to the Pirate's Fortress. The game is kinda hard, but you'll get the hang of it.
42. Win the younger and older beaver brothers' races in one minute and fifty seconds or less for a bottle and a Piece of Heart.
43. Hookshot into the cliff over by the Great Bay Jumping Game, plant a magic bean, water it, then ride to the next ledge. Play the Scarecrow's Song, then hookshot over.

Eastern Canyon
44. Give the Title Deed to the Zora Hall's Flower to the one in Ikana Canyon. Hop into the newly-vacated Flower as a Deku Scrub and fly across the river to a ledge with your prize.
45. Fight and defeat the Poes in the Ikana Canyon Spirit House in under the time limit and with health of at least three heart containers.
46. From the roof of the Ancient Castle of Ikana, shoot the switch, then use the Deku Flowers to fly to the Piece of Heart.
47. From the dock by the Octoroks, dive into the water as Mikau and swim left. Enter the cave you see. Fire a Light Arrow at the sun to open the door, then fight and defeat the four enemies (Dinofols, Wizrobe, Wart, and Garo Master) in the four ensuing rooms.

The Moon
49. In the Deku Moon Dungeon, fly to the ledge in the far right corner with a Deku Flower.
50. In the Goron Moon Dungeon, roll at top speed until you reach the far left corner.
51. In the Zora Moon Dungeon, swim left, left, right, left to reach the Piece of Heart.
52. In the Link Moon Dungeon, you'll have to destroy some enemies and trigger switches with Bombchu to get your prize.
