| Getting There Okay, so you're riding along, minding your own business, when these two annoying fairies and a short guy with a strange mask knock you off Epona and start rummaging through your stuff. Run after them. When you reach them, they turn you into a Deku Scrub. See Deku Mask for operations in this body; I don't care how used to Link's Hylian body you may be from playing Ocarina of Time, this Deku body is very strange and difficult to get used to. One fairy (Tatl) is left behind from her brother, Tatl, and the Skull Kid. She, unfortunately for you, becomes your companion on the journey, much as Navi was in Ocarina of Time. Only, if you can believe it, she's even more annoying. Anyway, open the door. At the end of the passageway, you'll find a strange flower (it's called a Deku Flower) on the ground. Stand on top of it and push and hold down A. You'll burrow inside the flower. When you let go of A, you'll pop up into the air and start helicoptering in whatever direction you push the joystick. Just keep moving through here until you reach the inside of the Clock Tower. Climb the stairs and you'll find an odd man with a pack on his back. Talk to him; if you can retrieve the Ocarina of Time, he will return you to your typical, Hylian body. Agree to the deal and head outside. The Bombers You have seventy-two hours to get back your stolen Ocarina, so get busy! There's not a moment to lose, since time goes by much quicker in this world than the one in which you sit. When you step out into the square, you'll find yourself in South Clock Town -- you're facing South (there's not much here except the Clock Tower, the Deku Scrub, Piece of Heart 1, and the entrance to the Laundry Pool in the far right corner). To your right is West Clock Town (where you will find a Bomb Shop, a Curiosity Shop, the Bank, the Post Office, Piece of Heart 4, a Lottery Store, a Sword-Training place, Piece of Heart 2, and some random people). To your left is East Clock Town (where you will find the Mayor's Residence, the Bombers' Hideout, the Stock Pot Inn, the Milk Bar, Honey and Darling's Shop, the Town Shooting Gallery, and the Treasure Chest Shop). Behind you is North Clock Town (where you will find the Deku Scrub Playground, Piece of Heart 3, and the entrance to the Fairy's Fountain). There's lots more Pieces of Heart all over the place, just use the link since I don't feel like spelling them out; you can't get all of them yet, anyway. The first thing you need to do is snag the Stray Fairy (at day she is by the Laundry Pool, at night she is in East Clock Town -- use the Deku Flower to catch it) and run to the Fairy Fountain. The entrance is on the far west side of North Clock Town at the top of the hill. She will thank you for restoring her by a gift of weaponry -- kinda. You can now shoot bubbles with B (but be careful because they use up magic). Once outside, shoot the ballon in North Clock Town. Go over to Jim, the kid who is looking around trying to figure out who did it. He will be impressed that you could shoot it and offers to let you into his club if you can catch all the members before sunrise. Agree to the challenge. All you have to do is run close to them and talk to them to catch them. You'll find one in West Clock Town (in the north part), one over by the slide and tree in North Clock Town, one by the tree by the Fairy Fountain in North Clock Town, one on the platform with the bell over the Stock Pot Inn in East Clock Town (use the Deku Flower by the Treasure Chest Shop to fly to the platform), and the final one on the neighboring platform (climb the stairs opposite the entrance to the Milk Bar). Once you find them all, the Bombers will give you a code to get into the hideout. Write this down or something because you'll need it when you return to your Hylian form. Stuff to Do Go into the Bombers' Hideout and keep going straight until you hit a wall. Go left (watch out for the Skulltula -- you can shoot its back with a bubble or run around it in the water). Shoot the ballon blocking your path up the ladder. Knock over some pots to refill your magic. Keep going upstairs and you'll find an old man and his telescope. Talk to the man and look into the telescope. You'll find that you have gone, underground, out of Clock Town and are in Termina Field. Zoom in on the top of the Clock Tower and you'll see the Skull Kid. Then, the Moon will drop a flaming meteor from its eye. Run outside (there's a door near the top of the stairs) and grab the meteor -- it's a Moon's Tear. Head back downstairs and to Clock Town. In South Clock Town you'll find a Deku Scrub. Talk to him and give him the Moon's Tear in return for the Title Deed to his Deku Flower. Hang around and entertain yourself by meeting everyone. Piece of Heart 16 is a good thing for which to strive during the three days you're roaming about. Before midnight on the third day, you need to deposit whatever money you may have collected during your ventures in Clock Town in the Bank in the west side of town. It will be saved there for you to use at any time on any day. But at midnight on Day 3, you need to be standing on the ledge above the entrance to the Clock Tower (dive into the Deku Flower and soar onto the platform where you will receive Piece of Heart 1. At midnight, the Clock Tower will open up and you can climb the stairs. You'll find the Skull Kid on the tower. Z-Target him and knock him to the ground with a bubble. He'll drop the Ocarina of Time in his hand. You'll have a flashback as you hold it; Zelda will teach you the Song of Time (this is her only appearance in the game). Play the song and you'll travel back in time to Day 1. You'll be inside the Clock Tower. Go up to the strange man and he will teach you the Song of Healing. You will regain your Hylian form and a Deku Mask will fall to your feet. Anytime you put on this mask, you can return to your Deku Scrub body. |
