People, listen
we should welcome in
this solitude
our nation is of freedom.
But why do people
suffer from the pain
the Monster feeds?
we should elope
with this silence.
our country can not
die.
But somehow we
ignore the truth
and in to other's lives
we pry.

Nature's Taunting
the squirrels mock me,
the birds hiss at my lonliness.
they know I can't have you.
which makes me want you more.
the stars shine for my many wishes
of us being together
and though they hear
me cry late at night,
the crickets keep jeering at me,
laughing at my cowardness.
I'm a lizard in a hole.
a bear in hibernation
not wanting to awake
from my endless painless sleep
I want to fall
in a never ending hole
with my worries
dying to escape me,
knowing that they can't.

and yet we repel like
the North and the South
we despise the
other's misleading

on top of my head
