Save the Last Dance (Pretty Darn Good!) This movie had really good qualities. the characters were down-to-earth, real, and fun! Its basically a modern-day "Flashdance" set in NYC's ghetto. It made me want to get up and learn some hip-hop moves! I was really impressed with Julia Stiles, though. I heard she used to actually be a ballet dancer, and she certainly showed that in this movie. I watched this one three times, so it is really a keeper!

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (It is ok.) This movie lacked sincerity. The fighting didnt seem real. It had a good story line, and the actors were okay, but it is slow at first. Very slow. There is a scene in the movie where this little tiny princess is beating up about 100 professional BIG fighters (all male) that was worth going to see.

Unbreakable (Pretty Darn Good!) This is a modern-day superhero, coming-of-age type movie, I think. It is also a "Pay-attention-or-you'll-miss-something" movie. It makes the idea of a modern-day super-hero seem possible, and has a suprize ending, to boot. I really enjoyed this movie, but I honestly had to watch it twice. (The first time, the kids were awake, and I got lost.) Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson do a great job of bringing these characters to life, but Robin Wright Penn's performance was pretty depressing.
Tomb Raider (WooooooHooooooo!!) I read some magazine reviews for this before I went to the theater. With that info, I didn't expect the greatest performance from anyone in the movie. WHOOSH!! Was I blown away! Angelina Jolie's character made me want to go beat the mess out of some bad guys and run off to Cambodia to find a temple to rob!! This movie was fun and exciting! Although the other actors were virtually unknowns, this movie was still a good one! It combined humor, action, and even a little bit of romance.
Unbreakable ~sent in by Kat This movie was not at all what I expected. A little on the strange side, this movie will make you want to keep your kids away from comic books. The camera angles, and general story line were a little confusing. The ending was suprising though. I would rent this one if there is nothing else in the video store that you havent already seen.
Castaway~sent in by Kat I am a big fan of Tom Hanks, and this movie didn't let me down. It had a great story line, and cute humor. A touching love story that left my husband with tears, leaves you to wonder "what if?". I would recommend this movie to anyone!
