Excel Saga
Experimenting some more on the clean layouts. This required a lot of "erasing" articles and glitches left after cutting and layering.
Wizards
This one is based on a Ralph Bakshi film titled Wizards. I saw it a long time ago and now I'm looking for a DVD of it.
Bubblegum Crisis 2032
Hey, I'm still experimenting with clean layouts and graphics. I'm not completely happy yet, but I did figure out how to give text the 3D look in Photoshop! Here's a couple of versions using one of my favorite illustration of Priss. The Wallpaper on the right, I tried to do distort the image to give it a forced perspective but I'm not quite sure of the results. Oh well.
I've been wanting to do one with this illustration of the Puma Sisters, my favorite Bad Girls! This took a lot of time cleaning up the edges and erasing the background but it was worth it.
Hey, it's the purple gradient again! But this time I'm using some pentagons with it. I also used some bevelling for the logo. I liked the results.
It's Iria with her big gun. This is actually a variation from the second one. As usual experimenting with Photoshop effects. I prefer this one to it's original version (which is the second wallpaper, the one in the middle)
Iria Zeiram: The Animation
This one I experimented with a redered clouds then whirpool type effect. Then a little lens flare and some image layering there you have it. It's okay but I think the black version is better..
Clean and simple. Action shot of Iria. She's so cute. Yeah, Cute chicks with big guns, they always warm my heart.
Witch Hunter Robin
There's not really a lot of good source material for making WHR wallpapers.

These took a bit of clean up. Also added in fog and smoke effect to hide some blemished. They actually came out better than I expected. The two on the right I was trying to figure out whether mirror flipped worked better or not. The middle one is the original version.

By the way, rumor has it that a live-action version of this show is in the works.

Anyways, here's the anime site:

Moldiver
Here's a couple of wallpapers from one of my older favorites...Moldiver! It's somewhat a spoof on superhuman heroes. I really like the Christmas wallpaper. The image is a scan of an old Christmas card Pioneer (Geneon now) sent me back when they were just starting to license and release anime.
Blame!
Here're some wallpapers based on the manga Blame! The manga is a very dark and violent and has barely any dialogue. The artwork is very cool though, it reminds me of Hellraisers and Aliens. I thinks it's been licensed already.

Getsumen Toheiki Mina (from Densha Otoko-Train Man)
Okay, for those not familiar, Mina was the fictional character of the fictional anime show that showed up in the opening sequence of the Japanese TV drama show called "Densha Otoko" (Train Man). Anyways, the character got so popular that Studio Gonzo, the studio who did the opening sequence in "Train Man" decided to make it into a real anime. Yey!

Well, since it is a fictitious anime in the first place source material is rare.
Here's 3 different wallpapers made from different conceptual characters that were in a "Mina" calendar. I only picked the 3 characters that I liked.

Oh the logo, I designed. It's stupid but it kind of gives it an aviator unformed services feel to it.

Trivia: Mina is character homage to the orginal anime bunny girl done for DAICON IV by the people who started GAINAX. Studio Gonzo is made up of people who also came up through GAINAX.

Touch
Touch is an anime based on a manga by Mitsuru Adachi. It an old anime but still one of the best. It revolves around two brothers (twins), their neighbor, high school and baseball. I recommended this anime to everyone, unfortunately it is only available through fansubs. Touch, by the way, is a baseball term...touching a runner with basebal and gloves to tag him out.
Strawberry Marshmallow
Just before Christmas, I became interested in this anime series. It seemed to be similar to Azumanga Daioh but younger. So recently I picked up the series and watched it. It's very well done and very cute. Anyways, so here're 4 wallpapers I assembled based on the show. You'll notice that the 3rd and 4th one are actually the same except that I modified the background for the 4th one. I like clean background normally but the wallpapers seemd to be asking for a something to ground it.
