First try, very cluttered! Hey, but all the major characters are there.
Jack's Wallpapers (Page 2)
I'm still not happy with the color. I'm not sure Yellow works but it is clean.
I like the Purple gradient. It's also not cluttered though it feels like it's missing something. It's probably just me.
I finally got around to doing a Maison Ikkoku one. Yeah, I kinda screwed up on the feathering of the Kyoko and Godai images. You'll see some transparency around Kyoko's hair. I had the feather set too high.
This is my favorite image of Madoka. Autumn is my favorite time of the year. All those earth tone colors.
This is a second version of the first wallpaper. This uses the "sweater girl" image of Madoka, my second favorite image of her. Can you tell I'm infatuated with her?
Spring time colors! Once again, of course, is Madoka, this time in her farmer overalls and the famous red hat (the sunflower background is actually a screenshot from Ranma 1/2 OVA).
Nabiki, my favorite Ranma 1/2 Character. Based on a screen capture so it's a little rough and aliased. Love that Purple gradient again..
Yotsubato!
These wallpapers are from the anime Azumanga Daioh. A really neat and cute anime about kids (girls) going through high school. With the wallpaper on the left, I used some forced perspective through photoshop to try and keep the angles the same. The one in the middle is...well...kinda boring so I added Chiyo and Osaka playing volleyball in the back. Still, it seems to lack something. The two on the right are my favorites. Chibi characters and the flying Chiyo and Osaka. Maybe I'll add the Chiyo Chichi! I did 2 versions one is clean white, while the other using a gradient orange and yellow combination like the logo. A new addition! A fifth wallpaper. Five Characters jumping or bouncing. It actually came out well considering that finding a jumping Tomo was hard.
Appleseed
These 3 wallpapers are based on the new movie Appleseed. The movie itself is based on the work of Masamune Shirow (one of my favorites). The movie is currently out in limited showings but should be out on DVD soon. There was an earlier anime released based on the same work, but I was disappointed with that one. This new one, on the other hand, looks really cool! Here's the official site: www.appleseedthemovie.com
Azumanga Daioh!
These 2 wallpapers are based from a manga (comic book) called Yotsubato! It's from the writer of Azumanga Daioh! The comic has been licensed by ADV Films so it should be out in the U.S. around summer Here's the official studio site: www.yotuba.com
I've assembled a 3rd Yotsubato! wallpaper. I got the image from the back of the manga vol 1 and if you look below at the Orange Road wallpapers, the sunflower background is recyled.
This 4th Wallpaper is from the back of Vol 2 manga. I like this picture and find it funny. This time I also used the U.S. manga logo.
This image was from a scan of Vol. 2 manga's cover. However, I had to erase Fuka becasue it was just too hard to clean up. Maybe when I have more time I'll try it. The Cicadas are courtesy of cliparts.
Here's a 6th Yotsuba Wallpaper. It's a composite of 2 images. The action is somewhat the same and seemed to match. I used the Japanese logo since the layout fit better. Unfortunately, the image quality is just about the best it can get. I suppose I could have really taken time and re-painted ath images to improve them, but I'm too lazy.
Here's a 7th Yotsuba Wallpaper. It's also composite of 2 images. Once again the image's quality is about as best as it can get. I had to also match the colors and tone as best as I could. I actually experimented on this one with re-painting sections of it but too time consuming. I was sucessful in erasing Yotsuba off the image on the left (which I flipped). Photoshop...yes.
