Ness can be a bear to work with. Trust me on that.
She can often want to
write while I'm trying to sleep and she has a nasty tendency of keeping me
awake the night before a really important (and boringly long) meeting at
work, thereby challenging me to;
1) stay awake during the meeting and
2) not image or rework the hot sex scene I'd worked on the night before...
But Ness loves to write, and Ness loves to sit and ponder the two men of Stargate SG-1 in many situations; sometimes sexual, sometimes military, sometimes archaeologically (Is that a word?) - but mostly she ponders about them just being TOGETHER!
Ness likes to work backwards from a scene and weave the threads to add intricacies to what is predominantly a love/sex story. And Ness likes to write... did I mention that already? She likes to write lots... and lots ... and lots...
I have a shelf in my library at home that is nothing but A5 sized notebooks with scribbles of stories throughout them. I also have many, many unused scenes (if they belong to a story already, you can see them at In the Bin). If they don't have a story to fit into, and they are of some substance, then they will be here.
Honestly, I'm tired of closely guarding what I feel is a brilliant story idea only to discover that the idea was closely touched upon or (more annoyingly) WILL be touched upon in SG-1 episodes. It hasn't been until recently that I have sniffed around spoilers but with Daniel's return so close for us now, I can't resist a peek! My problem is, a story I'm particularly proud of and have been working on since 2000 (seriously!) ridiculously parallels what I hear will be Daniel's return in Season Seven. I take some solace in the fact that I had this beta'd over a year ago, so someone out there knows these ideas are mine, but just let me show you what I mean.
Am I prophetic? No, just prolific, and it's bound to happen that I come up with ideas similar occasionally. It's just annoying, that's all. Therefore this page will allow me to dump my stories in progress as sketchy outlines so that I know, and you know, where my head is at.
