About me
Well, what to put here... I'm a christian as you can tell by my front page and I'm 30 years old at the moment. I've been using the Internet ever since the web began way back in 1990 or was it '91? I've been using computers for twenty years so I know a bit about them. My first pc was a AT&T 6300 with an 8mhz clock speed and a small 10mb hard drive. I used to troll the local bulletin boards and even ran run for awhile back in '87-89. I had a 1200 baud modem in '85 and that was considered fast. What kind of work do I do? I am unfortunately disabled by a little disease called schizophrenia(click the link if you want to learn some more about it), however I am getting better after alot of pain, sadness, hopelessness and anger with a little help from God. I am hoping to go back to college sometime soon and get a degree in journalism, perhaps. I did go to a local college for a few courses but I didn't complete most of them. I like to read, watch tv(have a tivo), watch movies(have a fairly good home theater system), cook(although Im no elmeril lagasse), go to church, eat..guess this kind of goes along with cooking, solve problems, and of course write. Oh and help God out as much as I can. He is my best friend. Oh and for those people that may think disabled people are by nature, stupid or just lazy- I have an iq of 120 and I help out around my house as much as I can. I didn't use to though when I was going through a very bad period at the start of my disability to be honest. But I understand now, that God was just teaching me a few things that I am very grateful that he did. I've had my disability for fifteen years and I dealt with it okay, because I had to. Society today is dependent upon you getting a job, keeping it, getting married(which I would love to do someday) so I had to do the best I could to conform to this and I wanted to, believe me. I tried very hard to for eight years, but in the last year I discovered I just couldn't do it. My "issue" as they say today kept interfering in what life I had. So I gave up. That was seven years ago. But then, about a few months ago I was diagnosed with diabetes, type 2. This set in motion a series of events that has made me recognize that God wants to be a part of my life and he is. He always had been, I just ignored him. One of the most important things that happened was that I received the book The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. It helped me see all of my problems in a better way. To those of you reading this that are atheist or just hate god for giving you so many problems in your life, I guarantee you that God exists and he does care about you. I suggest that you read the book, it will help you if you think your life is down the drain or it just sucks royally. It might even help you see things better if you have a wonderful life with 2.4 kids, a wife and a big house :)You wouldn't believe how much mine sucked. It still does, but I understand why now. Feel Free to email me if you have questions or comments. I'd love to listen to your story and help if I can.
