Charter
Change Proposals (UPDATED: Mar 21, 2004)
Aspirant
Proposal
This
proposal was created by Tarahawen, Varn, Darien, and Pixie at the
January 31, 2004 meeting.
Current
situation: Other clans invite low-level players to join their clans.
It-uile does not do this, because they require players to have a healing
power before being considered for admittance. This means that there
are a limited number of unaffiliated players that we can try to get
to join our clan. Many players choice to join a different clan before
we even consider them or they can consider us. This puts It-uile at
a disadvantage.
Proposal:
Rather than lose all these potential members, create a new level in
the clan for those players who truly want to be healers, but cannot
yet heal. These players must promise to acquire a healing spell/skill
and use it to help others. They will not be promoted to Acolyte until
they have demonstrated their healing abilities for an It-uile officer.
The clan will promise, in exchange, that they will guide the Aspirant
in their quest for a healing ability.
Proposed
change to the charter: To change the description of the Initiation
Rite.
| Original
Passage: Initiation Rite: When interested and able to heal, a
prospective member informs a clan member of interest. After discussion
in the clan, they decide whether or not to offer an invitation
to the prospective member. After presenting the prospective with
an invitation, the prospective must prove their healing abilities
for the members present. Then he or she is invited into the clan. |
|
Proposed
Passage: Initiation Rite: When interested, a prospective member
informs a clan member of interest. After all of the active members
have discussed the prospective and a decision has been made,
an officer of the clan may offer an invitation to the prospective
member. If the prospective member has a healing spell/skill,
he or she will follow the directions for becoming an Acolyte.
If he or she does not yet have a healing spell/skill, he or
she will follow the directions to become an Aspirant.
To become
an Acolyte, the prospective member must perform a healing spell/skill
upon an officer of the clan. He or she will then be invited
into the clan as an Acolyte.
To become
an Aspirant, the prospective member must pledge to fulfill the
requirements to acquire a healing spell/skill as quickly as
possible. The prospective member must then prove his or her
devotion to the clan by acquiring healing items (7 for players,
10 for heroes
a list of possible items can be presented
to the prospective, if requested) and presenting them to an
officer of the clan (which will then be presented to those players
that are available and in need). He or she will then be invited
into the clan as an Aspirant.
|
Proposed
change to the Infrastructure: To change the names and descriptions
of the first three ranks of It-uile
1)
Change Rank 1, Acolyte to Aspirant
| Original
Passage: Acolyte: The newest members to the clan. An acolyte has
just joined and is proving him or herself to the clan. He or she
must obey any member of the clan. A willingness to hand out the
healing items that can be found around Ragnarok might be grounds
for an early apprenticeship. |
| Proposed
Passage: Aspirant: An Aspirant would be a low-level player who
has not received a healing spell/skill yet, but is deeply interested
in the works of It-uile. By becoming an Aspirant of It-uile, the
player is promising to receive a healing spell/skill and use it
to help others in Ragnarok. To be promoted from Aspirant, a player
must perform a healing spell/skill upon an officer of It-uile. |
2)
Change Rank 2, Junior Apprentice to Acolyte
|
Original
Passage: Acolyte: The newest members to the clan. An acolyte
has just joined and is proving him or herself to the clan. He
or she must obey any member of the clan. A willingness to hand
out the healing items that can be found around Ragnarok might
be grounds for an early apprenticeship.
Junior
Apprentice: An apprentice is required to fetch and carry. He
or she is expected to spend at least part of each login at the
statue.

Masterhealer/Master
Healer Proposal
This
proposal was created by Krom in a post on the clan board.
Current
situation: There is currently an officer title of Masterhealer and
a hero title of Master Healer. This is very confusing and many members
and non-members have trouble understanding the difference. To dispell
confusion, one of these titles should be changed. The officer title
has been chosen for the change, because it's nice for heroes to strive
to be a "Master Healer" and because "Masterhealer"
does not fully describe the job of the officer.
Proposal:
Change the officer title of Masterhealer to "Master of Ceremonies."
This change will include changing the title in the infastructure,
change Krom from "Masterhealer" to "Master of Ceremonies,"
and change any other occurrances of "Masterhealer" on the
website to "Master of Ceremonies."
